School and Youth Groups
Brand new to Newgrange Lodge and in conjunction with our activity partner Ecocation, we now offer a diverse range of on site educational and adventure, activity packages aimed at 5th and 6th class primary students and all secondary level students including TY, Gaisce participants, Biology and Geography students.
Our easily accessible but rural location, our excellent accommodation facilities provide the perfect combination for visiting youth groups. The Lodge is within a minutes walk to Newgrange Heritage centre (Bru na Boinne) and we are only a 10 minute drive to the Battle of the Boyne Estate, Slane village and the Hill of Slane. Monasterboice and Mellifont Abbey are a 15minute drive and the famous sites of the Hill of Tara and Trim Castle are within a 35 minute drive from the Lodge. Other attractions such as Funtasia and Tayto Park are nearby.
Our Accommodation
Teachers and students will enjoy comfortable, modern accommodation and super recreation space. All of bed rooms are ensuite and bedlinen is provided. Leader and teachers are accommodated in our single and twin rooms which are also furnished with an ensuite bathroom, under floor heating and cable tv.
Groups have the option to self cater or we are happy to provide fully catered options including packed lunches, BBQ’s and meal options. There is also a private tea room available to teachers for a well deserved break.
Groups are welcome to avail of our conference/workshop room and will have complimentary unlimited wifi access.
