At only 5 mins drive off the main M1 Motorway we are within easy access of anyone travelling up via the M50, down via the M1 or anyone along the amin stretch of N2 main roadway. You've no excuses not to jump in the car and come see us!

 Funtasia Water Park


Situated just 5 mins away from Newgrange Lodge is the fantastic Funtasia Waterpark -  the first of its kind in Ireland! Featuring a Pirates cove interactive waterpark, with over 200 water gushing activities including the adrenalin pumping super bowl speed slide and the Boomerang. Other attractions include the Atlantis Cove play area, a 14 lane bowling alley, Roller skating rink, crazy golf, rock climbing, a luxurious Casino, Pharaohs fast food restaurant, video games, simulators and lots lots more!

There is certainly something to suit all age groups at Funtasia Waterpark and with it located so close to Newgrange Lodge, your family can enjoy a great trip away with comfortable and most importantly great value accommodation. Tayto Park

Tayto Park is a fantastic attraction just 15mins up the Dublin Road from us here at Newgrange Lodge. Boasting a vast array of activities, theme rides, animals and indeed a chance to meet Mr Tayto himself, it is a family day out not to be missed. Of course, with all the energy that it will takefor such a vast and bustling park you'll need to lay your head somewhere. We advise maybe travelling the day before and avail of the vast fresh countryside and maybe take the kids for a walk the evening before and settle them down to FREE popcorn and a DVD in our cosy lounge area whislt you suip on a well deserved cuppa or something stronger. Then get up fresh and early anddrive the short distance to start your theme park excperience.


To get to Tayto Park simply take a left upon exiting the Newgrange Lodge Car Park and follow this road for 6km until you reach the main N2. Take a left and follow this road the whole way until just before Ashbourne and Tayto Park is on the right hand side - very well sign posted. 


Tayto Park is only a 20 minute drive from Lodge on the N2. Family and Group rates available.

Red Mountain Open Farm

Our neighbours Liz and Henry Fee and family would be delighted to welcome you to visit their open farm which is located only 1.5 miles from the Lodge up the mountain. The farm is a family run mixed farm with Tillage, Sheep, Poultry and Horses, set in the open countryside of the Boyne Valley near the village of Donore The Farm is the ideal venue for Family Days out and Educational School Tours.

Causey Farm

Causey Farm is situated almost 40 mins away from the Lodge but if you are staying with us a few nights it is certainly worth a spin over to take advantage of their fun activities and sights that they have on offer. 


Lambing Live

This Spring, Causey Farm is opening the doors of the ma ternity unit for the first two weeks in April. With over 350 lambs to be born you will see a sheep about to give birth, a lamb being born, or one just after arriving into the world.

See some of the new calves and other young animals and you can even see the sheepdog at work.
Meet the farmer and hear about the work he does during the busy Springtime.

Easter Holidays, April 1st to 15th 2012 noon to 5pm daily. (Last entry 4.30)

Costs: €7 per person (Under 2s free) Family of four €25, Extra family members €6.

Dublin Zoo



Dublin Zoo is only 40 minutes away from us here in Newgrange Lodge and is definitely a worthwhile visit for any families that have an extra bit of time on their hands. 

Dublin Zoo is much more than a fun-filled, stimulating day out for all the family... it’s a place to learn about wild animals, especially those which are endangered. The Zoo is a registered charity – your visit will help maintain Dublin Zoo to a high standard, improve the Zoo and contribute to conservation programmes.
